Summary of session 4 in our Online Marketing class & an Announcement regarding the Future

content is king part II
Michael Jackson and Bubbles by Jeff Koons

Hi All,

Last Thursday was the 4th session of our Free Online Marketing Class .

We had 4 people attending  (John Casella and 3 guests) and were able to collect 700 Thb in donations for the Camillian Home, bringing the total collected to date up to 8,560 Thb (Special thanks got to Chris of Lingovillage.com for facilitating the donation this week).

What we learned

The lesson was dedicated to the “HOW” of creating good content – most specifically we learned web copywriting tips.

The session was again composed of two parts: the presentation embedded below, followed by a practical workshop where we edited each other’s copy, and presented the results to the group, for feedback

Announcement regarding the future of the course

Due to the low participation in this last session I’ve decided to continue this activity on the condition we have 18 confirmed attendants for the next session. Since my motivation is charity and educating our chapter members, there’s little point in continuing with the course unless we have high attendance.

For our guests – you’re still very welcome to early and check out the networking session we have from 6:45 till 9:00 (…we don’t bite).

The preso

I’d appreciate it if you’d “Like”, share, comment, and otherwise help spread the word about the above.

Feel free to share this with friends and colleagues and if you have any feedback, questions, suggestions, comments (…etc.) I’m always happy to hear!
Cheers,

How to Write Engaging Content for your Website

Hi all,
This week after our meeting and breakfast we’ll be having our 4th Free Online Marketing lesson dedicated to continuing our discussion regarding content and it’s critical importance in your online marketing efforts.

Two weeks ago we learned:

  1. Why “Content is King” – Because consumers have ALWAYS valued succinct and useful information
  2. What content works - We conducted a workshop where we brainstormed and rated ideas for content we should use on our websites

This week we’ll be diving into the HOW.

Specifically: How to write engaging content for your website

Based on the positive feedback on the workshop last time, this lesson will also be split between a presentation portion and a workshop component.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Be sure to notify your guests about the added value of the meeting and please use the “share” button below to spread the word to your Facebook and LinkedIn friends.

Cheers,
Mike

Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Hi All,

Yesterday was the 3rd session of our Free Online Marketing Class .

We had 10 people attending and were able to collect 1,480 Thb in donations for the Camillian Home, bringing the total collected to date up to 7,860 Thb.

What we learned

This lesson was dedicated to introducing the relationship between the content published on our website, and its success as a marketing tool for our business. The session was composed of two parts: the presentation embedded below, followed by a practical workshop where we brainstormed ideas for actual content to publish on our websites, presented them to the group, and received feedback

I’d appreciate it if you’d “Like”, share, comment, and otherwise help spread the word about the above.

King Crimson – In the Court of the Crimson King

The inspiration for the presentation’s name, which was sadly a missed reference:

The album “In The Court of the Crimson King” is widely viewed as a landmark in progressive rock and has been described by The Who‘s Pete Townshend as “an uncanny masterpiece

For more about King Crimson and their revolutionary album see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Court_of_the_Crimson_King

See you next time…

I hope you find this session to be of value, and I’d be thrilled to see you again at our next class – same place – 8th of March.
If you’re not a BNI member yet, I’d recommend you come early and check out the networking session we have from 6:45 till 9:00 (…we don’t bite).
Feel free to share this with friends and colleagues and if you have any feedback, questions, suggestions, comments (…etc.) I’m always happy to hear!
